In 2024, ENCWA volunteers completed 200 home visits to elderly beneficiaries across Alozie-Nwagboso, Umuadienwe, and surrounding communities in Ukwa West LGA. During each visit, our team delivered food parcels, toiletries, basic medications, and — most importantly — human connection to seniors who would otherwise go weeks without seeing another person.
One of our most memorable visits was to 84-year-old Mama Chidinma, who had not left her compound in three months due to knee pain. Our team arranged for a doctor to visit her at home, secured her a walking frame from our medical store, and connected her daughter in Port Harcourt via video call for the first time in over a year.
