On a single Saturday in November 2024, ENCWA and a team of 14 volunteer healthcare workers set up a free clinic at the Umuadienwe Town Hall. By the end of the day, 620 community members had been seen — many for the first time in years.
Among the findings: 38% of adults screened were hypertensive without knowing it. 112 patients tested positive for malaria and received immediate treatment. 21 elderly patients showed signs of severe nutritional deficiency and were enrolled in our nutrition support programme.
